What CE classes do I have to take?

This is my first time renewing in PA.

During the first biennial period that continuing education is required, a new licensee shall complete the Commission-developed 14-hour required courses for new licensees in satisfaction of the continuing education requirement. (49 Pa. Code §35.384(b))  This means licensees must complete the General Module and either the Residential or Commercial Modules before they can renew their license by the deadline May 31, 2024.

This is not my first time renewing in PA.

14 hours of CE is required. The Commission implemented a new policy requiring that all licensees take at least 3.5 hours of continuing education by the May 31, 2024 deadline of the renewal cycle on the topic of Broker and Licensee Responsibilities.  New agents or those in their first continuing education renewal cycle who are required to complete the mandatory new agent courses, are exempt from this requirement and only take the classes above. See the Commission's special notice on Mandatory CE.

I am a REALTOR member. When do I have to take Ethics?

The National Association of REALTORS® requires members to complete at minimum 2.5 hours of ethics training, meeting specific learning objectives and criteria, within three-year cycles. The current ethics period is January 1, 2022 - December 31, 2024. Our Real Estate Ethics course meets this requirement. RAMP members should take our Ethics course available livestream and in-person. If you completed it elsewhere, please send your transcript to our membership director Jeff Zirngibl jeffz@realtorspgh.com so he may record your completion with the National Association.
