Licensing Requirements

Before taking your real estate license exam in Pennsylvania, you're currently required to complete 75 hours of pre-license education covered in two courses: 1) Real Estate Fundamentals(30 hours)  and 2) Real Estate Practice (45 hours).

You will also need a high school diploma or equivalent.

The REALTORS® Educational Institute offers value-priced options:

1.  In our classrooms at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Benefit from the knowledge of our professional instructors, who have decades of hands-on experience as real estate agents and brokers. For each class, you will attend seven sessions (typically four Monday evenings and three Wednesday evenings) at our location in Pittsburgh.  Classes run monthly, please make your selection on the calendar to the right and register today!

2. Or Online. Pursue self-guided study at your convenience via our online classes. The course content is similar what you would learn in the classroom. Log in and out whenever you want and the program will hold your place.  Work at your own pace!

(Did you know? All online pre-license classes require you to complete a proctored (i.e. "in person") exam. Don't get stuck with an out-of-area provider with no local facilities. With our pre-license program, you can schedule the exam at your leisure at our headquarters in Pittsburgh.)

RECIPROCAL STATES - The Commission has a reciprocity agreement with Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, and New York only. To qualify for a reciprocal license, you must have passed the licensing exam for your license type in one of these states.

No strings attached!

Choose your real estate school wisely! At REALTORS® Educational Institute, our focus is on you, the student.  Our School is not associated with a real estate agency so there is never any recruiting pressure or employment contracts to sign! Our only goal is to prepare you to pass the State real estate exam and provide you with realistic career advice. See our career guide!
