MOVE THE VOTE

Did your clients leave something behind at their old house or apartment?

It could be their right to vote. By failing to register in a new county (or to change an address within the same county), voters could show up at the polls and find themselves off the books.

Perform a service for your clients and your community: Promote democracy at the closing table. Bring pre-addressed, pre-stamped voter registration forms to every signing.

It's easier than you think, and it's a customer-service touch your clients won't forget.

What to do

  • Supply yourself with a stack of voter registration forms. Click to download a copy online or contact RAMP's government affairs department below to request forms in the mail.

  • For extra effect, include a stamped and pre-addressed envelope. Contact information for local county voter offices is listed below.

  • Bring enough forms and envelopes for every resident of the household who's 18 or older.

  • Encourage the clients to complete the forms right away so you can drop them in the mail.

  • You're done! Your clients will receive their new voter registration cards within several weeks.
